Here at engage the spectrum, we’re looking for a few talented and opinionated individuals who are eager to share their perspective with the world. Thanks to the wonders of technology, the internet (a “series of tubes,” if you will) allows every individual who so desires to express their viewpoint on any number of issues, be they currently relevant or simply a matter of personal interest.

ETS may be the perfect outlet for your ramblings. It may not. However, if you exhibit an aptitude for creative and clever writing, do not think for one second that your ideology will prevent you from being a part of the team. In fact, the mission of ETS is to be a forum for opinions from across the political spectrum. So, whether you define yourself as an ardent conservative, a fervent liberal or, like most Americans, you find yourself somewhere in between those two extremes, we welcome your voice! 

If you are interested in joining the ETS team, submit a sample post on a topic of your choice to engage the spectrum (if accepted, this submission can also serve as your first post to the site, if you so desire).

Also, as a contributor, you will be offered the option of establishing your own pod. Having a pod allows you, as a contributor, a forum for presenting a more personal (or more intensely ideological) perspective on current affairs or for writing about an issue or subject that may not presently be atop the national agenda (or deemed as relevant by the mainstream media), but that you believe is still pretty important (and you want to make damn sure that others know why you feel it’s important!).

Although pod entries are clearly designated as such, they are posted both directly on the main page, alongside the more conventional fare, as well as on a PodBlog created for each contributor. We established pods to provide our contributors here at ETS with a holistic avenue for self-expression (and yes, self-indulgence). If you’d like to learn more about pods, click here.
